Dr Tom Pritchard presented LimitState:FORM to a packed room of industry delegates at the 2017 ANSYS SpaceClaim User Conference held at the ANSYS HQ in Abingdon, UK.
Discussing "Topology Optimization for SpaceClaim", Dr Pritchard showed how the integration of LimitState:FORM into SpaceClaim allows engineers and product designers to incorporate structural optimization into their workflow. It was further demonstrated that, when designing for additive manufacture, LimitState:FORM generates truss-type component layouts that are lightweight and in a form that allows easy refinement in advance of production.
Other presenters at the conference included Roman Walsh, Senior Applications Engineer at ANSYS, who presented on the use of SpaceClaim and the powerful capabilities of real time ‘live’ dynamics from the Dynamics add-in to SpaceClaim.
